out with the old, in with the new
I'm getting rid of my mihrabstudios website. I mentioned getting rid of it before. For now, the link is still functional, so check it out here, if you already haven't.
So, for the next day or two, if anything on this blog doesn't appear the way it should, it's because of the above reason. I've linked a few things directly from my mihrabstudios server (like the "The Drafting Table" graphic up there^ and my profile pic on the side -->)... so give me some time to transfer it over to my new website/server.
I've been stuck on coming up with a unique website name for quite some time (as some of you may already now). Now, I've settled for umarshahzad.com ...unless someone can suggest anything better (which isn't already taken... as was the case with just about every name I could think of). I haven't registered the domain yet, so there's still time to get your suggestions in!

awww... but the drafting table sounds cool. ur real name's not v creative... unless i guess if u want the site to come up when ppl google ur name or something?

For shame. I liked Mihrab Studios.

i like mihrab also, but i guess u want to appeal to non-muslim audience as well, like awakening team? in which case ur full name aint so good. how abt making it a .org rather than .com?
see, the whole idea behind it is that "mihrab studios" was supposed to be my own design business.
from the little experience i've gotten from that, i don't think im able to run my own business just yet.
the new site is supposed to be just an online portfolio of all of my work... for the general public, potential employers and maybe even people looking to get some stuff done.
if a potential employer wants to see my work online, and i direct them to "mihrab studios" it gives the impression that i already have a business, so why am i looking for a job?

well... it makes sense that u'd be continuously looking for work as that's what design ppl r there for - so its more like u're an enterpreneur, already set up ur own business - but also taking on new jobs...
