And call not those who are slain in the way of Allah "dead." Nay, they are living, only ye perceive not.
I just received a text message from a friend informing me that another close friend of ours passed away in a car accident. They were a group of 6 men, gone to the Yukon Territories for the purposes of Dawah & Tabligh. Last night they were in a car accident and 5 of them were martyred while one remains in critical condition. The bodies are being flown back tomorrow, with the Janazaah prayers to be held at Madina Masjid in Downtown Toronto on Thursday after Zuhr.
What a shock... I can't believe what's happened.
Those who believe, and have left their homes and striven with their wealth and their lives in Allah's way are of much greater worth in Allah's sight. These are they who are triumphant.
Update:
Article about the accident.
And another one, as well as one from the Toronto Star.

Inalillahiwainnailayhirajioon.
And thanks for the Peace, Propoganda and the Promised Land link.
I spent time with one of these brothers in India last year, and knew most of the others. I was in BC during the janaazah, but many of my friends went; they said the masjid was completely packed.
I quoted the same ayah when writing about this. May Allah make their graves like gardens of Paradise for them, and grant all of them Jannatul Firdaus. And may all of our ends also be met while in the service of the deen.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un.
asalamu alaykum wa rahmat Allah...
To Him we belong and to Him is our return.
May God grant them Paradise
May Allah have mercy on them and accept their good deeds and make Paradise to be their final abode.
